Speed skier Jan Ferrell gets in a bit of aerodynamic training with the help of a souped BMW M2 and a closed course in Madrid. Its hard to simulate the speeds achieved on the Speed Ski World Cup so this isn’t just a publicity stunt:
“Skiing on snow above 200kph is difficult to train for and feeling the airflow on top of a car in a controlled environment allows me to perfect and memorize my ideal tuck position.”
***DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME***
If you’re wondering what a wipeout on a speed course looks like take a deep breath and watch Jan eat sh*t going 245kph during a World Record attempt.

180km/h “wind tunnel” by @circuito_jarama 🙂 what a fun day shooting for TV program @telemadrid Madrid Directo… stay tuned for the images! . . . . Shot today at the Jarama race circuit during speed training: I ski on top of a car to simulate the air flow I have during skiing (and to make some cool videos!) #speedski #ski #snow #winter #Motorsport #carracing #skiing #skiracing
