The waves yesterday at Nazaré, Portugal were simply hard to fathom (60ft+) but somehow Kalani Lattanz was able to rope one and hold onto his butt. The footage is insane:
Russell Bierke wasn’t so lucky at Nazaré yesterday and required rescue after a hold down from award wining Big Wave Surfer Lucas “Chumbo” Chianca from Brazil who swooped in on a jetski:
“This was by far my longest hold down ever! I barely got a breath before the second wave landed on me. Felling pretty sore today, got a good whiplash when I skipped in front of the wave, but no injuries which is good” (…) “Felt like I could barely walk up the beach when I got there.”
