Donner Summit in California is a well-known area to rock climbers with it’s large granite walls and amazing views.
The unique rock formations near Donner Lake also prove to be a hit with skiers in the winter time and now– enduro motorcycle riders. The high mountain pass near Truckee is also home to the extremely fun Donner Ski Ranch, a small ski area that is renowned for its character, affordability and lack of pretension.
In this video from Red Bull, no ski area facilities are safe from jibbing, as the riders tackle the base lodge, chair lifts and ski runs all on motorcycles. Not only is it awesome to watch these talented guys create unique lines on terrain we ski in winter, but is a great reminder of the laid back attitude at Donner Ski Ranch where a substantial part of the video was filmed.
