Getting a nice refreshing brew after a long day on the slopes is a must for many skiers and riders. With winter still many months away, what better time to drink some good beer and dream of the coming winter season. Here are our picks for some good regional brews with a ski based theme.

Groomer By Bayern Brewing

Made to celebrate a half century of Montana Snowbowl, Groomer by Bayern Brewing is a rad tribute to the ski industries underappreciated night workers. A winter style ale, Groomer is flavorful and great for the lift ride or after a day on the slopes. Look out for this beer during the winter season, than hoard it away to enjoy all year-long.

Avalanche By Breckenridge Brewery

Even though the winter snowpack may not be on your mind during the offseason, Avalanche by Breckenridge Brewery is a great beer tribute to winter. Combining unique flavors such as chocolate and caramel, Avalanche is an amber ale worth trying. Stop in at the brewery located conveniently close to the ski resort and hopefully you can avoid the real avalanches this coming ski season.

Yard Sale By Uinta Brewing

Contract to popular belief Utah does have beer and in fact the state has some great craft beer like Yard Sale from Uinta of Salt Lake City. Only 4% alcohol, Yard Sale is an easy drinking beer but is a very flavorful winter style lager. Probably one of the coolest beer cans to show off to your snow buddies, Yard Sale winter lager is a great reminder of the wipeouts that lay ahead this winter.

Deathwish APA By Great Basin

A collaboration between the Biggest Little Cities famous first brewery and the local ski manufacturer lent to the creation of this delicious beer. A strong 6.6% American Pale Ale, the Deathwish is noted for being nonchalantly robust. If you’re lucky enough to own a pair of Moment Deathwish skis, you might as well drink some of it’s namesake beer.

Single Chair By Magic Hat Brewery

A tribute to the iconic chairlift at Mad River Glen, Single Chair golden ale is produced by Magic Hat of Vermont. Single Chair is a fairly mellow brew, moderate on taste and easy to drink several after a day skiing or riding. If nothing else the awesome label alone will get you pumped to ski at one of the East Coasts most respected ski areas.
