Arson Suspect Arrested For Colorado Wildfire (Burned 41,000+ Acres, 2000+ Homes Evacuated)

52 year old Jesper Jorgenson was taken into custody Saturday on arson charges related to a wildfire started in southern Colorado known as “The Spring Fire” that has already burned over 41,000 acres.
Costilla County Sheriff report Joergensen is not a US citizen and was arrested without incident. KMOV reports after he has completed all judicial processes related to his involvement in the wildfire he will be turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The fire was started on June 27 and has already forced the evacuations of almost 600 homes in Costilla County and about 1,500 homes in Huerfano County. 480 firefighters and support personnel have been tasked to contain it.
We are saddened by this and support all the brave firefighters and support personal out there battling.  Thank you for all that you do. If you see somebody working out there, buy them a Gatorade or just tell them you appreciate. We will update this story as news comes in.
