Picture this, you’re out for a relaxing paddle on your SUP in southern California when a circling helicopter uses its bullhorn to tell you “Please remain calm, you are surrounded by 15 great whites” I’d be f’ing cinched and hoping my balance was as good going in as it was going out.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department estimates the sharks were around 10 feet in length so these weren’t just pups. Its a good thing they didn’t relay that info before announcing “Exit the water in a calm manner.” Terrifying.
