Indian Army is not fucking around with their alpine training.  Their ski school in Gulmarg was established in 1948 and later became the High Altitude Warfare School. The Indian Army uses school to teach snow–craft and winter warfare.

HAWS is also open to personnel of the armed forces of friendly countries including the UK and Germany, who send soldiers to train there regularly. Badass.
