A skier triggered avalanche caught and carried at least 5 skiers and left one injured in a slide on Hillman’s Highway in Tuckerman Ravine. The slide initiated in looker’s left fork, caught numerous people both ascending and descending the slope below.

The Mount Washington Avalanche Center lists avalanche danger at moderate but wants to remind “Those in avalanche terrain should still travel one at a time on slopes, carry beacon/shovel/probe and know how to use them, and carefully evaluate snow and terrain to make wise decisions.”

The slide in the video below was intentionally triggered but serves as an example of east coast avalanche conditions:
