It is being reported, that a local skier is claiming that he had to spent a night on a chairlift at Gore Mountain, New York after the lift stopped for the evening with him still on it. State Police are investigating the skier’s claims that he spent a cold, snowy night stuck on the North Quad.
The man says that he was left hanging 30 feet off the ground late Saturday afternoon when the chairlift stopped for the evening. That night an inch or two of snow fell and temperatures dropped into the 20s.
The man, who has not been identified, was unhurt and declined medical treatment. It is unknown if the man had a cell phone on him at the time.
