VIDEO: WWII Veteran Skis For The First Time After 92 Years @ Snowmass

“Don’t let age define what you can or can’t do. Go out and try it. Have no expectations. Do what you can do, and if you can’t, find something else to do.”

92-year-old certified badass Pete Zimmer is legally blind and had never been skied but he decided to give it a go at the weeklong National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic staged in Snowmass. Over 400 Veterans participated in the event cosponsored by VA and DAV (Disabled American Veterans). Here’s how Pete explains his longevity, gotta love the old dudes:

“The man upstairs, he likes me or he doesn’t want me. Either one, I’m grateful.”
