No one likes lift lines. That’s a fact. Unfortunately it seems that lift lines at many popular American ski areas just keep getting longer and longer. If your sick on waiting for a bump up the hill check out these three American ski resorts that have minimal lift lines and uncrowded slopes.

3 American Ski Resorts To Avoid The Crowds

Big Sky Mountain Resort, Montana

With over 5,800 acres of private land there is plenty of room to spread out the skiers and riders who visit this Montana gem. The resorts 30 lifts give skiers and riders access to 4,350′ of varying terrain that is as uncrowded as it gets. The one exception is the wait for the 15 person tram that whisks you to the top of Lone Peak. The lift line can get long, but oh boy is it worth it.

Sun Valley, Idaho

When skiing Sun Valley you can’t help but think that all the people who bought into the private ski clubs are dopes for not just buying a place in SV. With zero lift lines, gorgeous lodges and perfectly manicured ski runs the mountain really feels like your own private ski resort.

Gore Mountain, New York

Gore Mountain could be the most under-the-radar ski resort in the east. Located in the Adirondack mountains of New York, Gore continues to add more and more terrain to its resort. The state own ski hill is also undergoing massive upgrades to it’s lodges. This investment seems to already be working for Gore where skier visits are on the rise. Get there soon before everyone else and their brother finds out about it.
