A pair of Killer Whales recently crashed a surf comp at the Lofoten islands off the coast of Norway and while most of the surfers in the water celebrated the sight, experts are saying it was a near miss that could have ended badly.

According to Surf Europe, the incident occurred over the weekend at the Lofoten Masters, a competition for Nordic surfers to test their mettle amongst the best in the region. Officials with Norwegian Orca Survey say the incident recorded resembles a orca attack and that the sea-going mammal must have decided against hitting one of the surfers at the last second.
