It absolutely dumped at Mammoth Mountain in the last 24 hours and the Sierra ski area is looking a lot more like December than it is September right now.

Based on nothing more than the pictures, we’d reckon an irresponsible guesstimate that would put the 24-hour base area snow total around 3″ while the summit looks like it got anywhere between 6″-12″.

And with only 49 days till the start of the season, things are shaping up nicely in California. Funny thing is– it doesn’t stop here. Mammoth is currently forecasted to see snow until early on Saturday with another 3″ on tap.

LET IT SNOW!
