The alps woke up to fresh snow on the high peaks and with multiple glacier-based ski areas set to open in Austria this week– stoke is rising rapidly.
Austria got the brunt of the storm with upwards of 20cm of new in localized, high elevation areas. Molltaler (*currently open) Stubai, Hintertux (*currently open), Pitztaler, and Solden (*currently open) all saw decent snowfall on their glaciers and some lucky European skiers are already scoring their first pow turns of the season.
