Austria got the brunt of the storm with upwards of 20cm of new in localized, high elevation areas. Molltaler (*currently open)Â Stubai, Hintertux (*currently open), Pitztaler, and Solden (*currently open) all saw decent snowfall on their glaciers and some lucky European skiers are already scoring their first pow turns of the season.
France’s high elevations including Chamonix, Val Thorens, and Val d’Isere recently saw roughly 10cm at higher elevations. Those resorts will likely not open until late October, early November.
