The Freeride World Tour calendar for the 2017-2018 season was just released and it’s a doozy. No more Haines, AK and no more Chamonix, FRA– two of the tour’s most iconic stops.

Instead, the FWT will start the season off by debuting new stops in Hakuba, JAP and Kicking Horse, CAN. Last year, Travis Rice popularized an FWQ event in Hakuba after throwing down one of the shortest/spiciest lines Japan has ever seen.

“This year, the FWT unveils two brand new locations for the opening events in Hakuba, Japan and Kicking Horse, Golden, BC, Canada – two legendary freeride destinations”

In the past, Kicking Horse has hosted an extremely popular 4 star qualifier event named,Wrangle The Chute.” This year will be the first for the Canadian resort to host as a stop of the actual tour. The tour will follow traditional stops in Europe to end the season.
