Helicopter rescue crews were busy over the weekend in Colorado’s high country with saves at the top of Mt. Bierstadt (14,065′) and Mt. Evans (14,265′). While calling in a rescue is always an option, we encourage anyone traveling into backcountry to take every possible precaution to avoid needing professional intervention.
