A Colorado division of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices is selling what could become a ski area in the Vail/Beaver Creek region. You just have to fork over a whopping $19.5 million in addition to building out the entire ski area infrastructure– that’s all.
Although there are no lifts, lodges, or snowmaking capabilities, the real estate holds some prime-time ski terrain that backs up to Vail Mountain. In addition to sicky gnar terrain, the property also boasts decent infrastructure and easy access to potable water.
“Ski lifts could be added on both Willow Creek and Holy Cross parcels to offer private ski terrain to land owners and residents. ” – Battle Mountain Ranch
In what they’re referring to as a “residential ski area development concept,” the realty group charged with offloading this piece of property wants a future buyer to build lifts for ‘private ski terrain’ for its community residents. Although it’s not at all clear as to what an end product will look like– we’re imagining a gated community with exclusive access to lifts– Posh AF.
Already, a cat skiing operation is being operated on the prominent peak, Battle Mountain, which they say could be “developed in order to offer a unique back country ski experience in the area.”
