Sir Roger Moore passed away in Switzerland at age 89 after a short but brave battle with cancer. He starred as James Bond in 7 films from 1973 to 1985, including 1977’s “The Spy Who Loved Me” which featured a ski chase scene that was way ahead of its time with a full on ski B.A.S.E. exit. Most of the chase was filmed in St. Moritz, Kanton Graubünden, Switzerland but the ski base was filmed in Nunavut, Canada.
Moore is survived by his wife, Kristina Tholstrup, and three children. A private funeral will be held in Monaco per his request.
