Authorities look at the spot where a woman fell off California’s highest bridge while taking a selfie. Photo courtesy of Placer County Sheriff’s Department.

While attempting to take a selfie, an unnamed women fell 60ft off of the Foresthill Bridge. According to reports, the woman was with friends when she fell from California’s highest bridge. The fall knocked the woman unconscious, and gave her a deep gash to her arm as well as fractured bones that will require surgery but thankfully  she is expected to survive.

Luckily, the woman fell from a hight of 60ft and not the bridge’s maximum height of 730ft.

It is believed that the woman was on an area of the bridge that is off-limits.Paul Goncharuk, a friend of the woman’s, told a CNN affiliate,  “They were taking a picture on the bridge, and then the big bolts that are holding the beams together, she stepped on them kind of weirdly and lost balance and fell backwards”.
