It ain’t over until Bode says it’s over– at least that’s what his coach is saying reports The Portland Press Herald.
Miller, who will turn 40 this year, recently told his coach via text that he plans on competing in the 2017/2018 FIS World Cup circuit. America’s most decorated male skier was barred from competition earlier this month when his former sponsor, HEAD Skis won a court decision in California that honored a termination agreement Bode signed previously.
“If we decide to do this, let’s go full at it. Let’s not just do one camp here and Colorado. Let’s go at it full and let’s start now. Those are going to be my conversations that I have with him next week.” – Sasha Rearick, U.S. Ski Team (*Quote courtesy of The Portland Press Herald)
In 2018, Bode will be allowed to ski on his relatively new sponsor, Bomber Skis in the FIS World Cup. He also plans on competing in the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. In the meantime, Bode has a lot of training to do to keep his aging body at bay. Good luck Bode!
