The Tahoe ski season will officially kickoff this Friday with the opening of Boreal Mountain Resort and Mt. Rose. The forecast is calling for more snow and ideal conditions for snow-making.

Other Tahoe ski areas including Heavenly, Kirkwood, Northstar and Sugar Bowl could also open this weekend but there has been no official word.
