Over the past 10 years, Tamarack has seen a lot of up and downs and that volatility has led to Tamarack’s most recent operator, New TRAC owing hundreds of thousands in unpaid back taxes to Valley County, Idaho. The result– auctioning off parts of the ski resort on October 17th in order to pay off back taxes on the properties.

In the meantime, The Tamarack Home Owners Association is looking for funds to purchase the ski area properties before all this prime ski real estate hits the auction block. However, if they don’t pay the taxes on the land, there is an opening to buy a piece of prime ski terrain in western Idaho.
