Little Murphy was orphaned by poachers and rescued from traffickers before finding sanctuary at Animal Asia in Vietnam. The bubble bath is part of his ongoing enrichment program to keep the bear’s mind active with new foods, smells, and toys on a daily basis. It turns out the baby bears use tear free soap just like baby humans so they can romp around with stinging their eyes.
Animal Asia houses over 400 bears rescued from the bile industry, which is a beyond cruel and disgusting. Bear bile is used in traditional medicine and there are over 1,200 bears caged in bile farms in Vietnam and 10,000 in China.
