Screen Shot 2016-04-12 at 3.01.03 PMIt’s a bit embarrassing for French SUPer Nicolas Jarossay but at least he had the balls to try. His mission to become the first man to cross the Atlantic on a standup paddle board, an estimated 2 month voyage, was called off after the first day.  He capsized shortly after pushing off from Cape Verde and was hospitalized after spending several hours in the water. Here is a facebook post his team made about the incident:

“Due to a technical incident resulting in a capsize, and after having spent several hours in the water, Nicolas had to be back to earth by the help of Cape Verde. The events could have taken a turn for the more dramatic, but Nicholas is now out of the hospital and his days are not in danger.”

…best wishes to Nicholas and we hope he solves whatever technical problems he suffered and goes for it again. Everybody loves a comeback story! Screen shot 2016-04-12 at 12.32.52 PM
