American Olympic freeskier David Wise just smashed the world record for biggest air off hip jump by a full 3 meters.  He topped out at 14.2 meters (46.5 feet) above the coping.  Absolutely filthy.  Here’s what he had to say about breaking the record:

“It wasn’t a goal, but I decided to go as high as I possibly can, record or not. In the end, to take that title home is definitely an experience of a lifetime. The jump is just so well built. From the first time I hit it to the last, I was having fun.”

Hats off to the parks crew to put this jump together. It is magnificent.
