Lots of us have cross country skied and lots of us have shoot a rifle but not many of us have combined the two, much less in a competition setting. With time penalties for inaccurate shooting, the rifles play a massive role in the time honored but somewhat obscure sport of the biathlon but I bet you know very little about the technology that goes into them.
