Starting Dec. 10th, Echo Mountain Ski Area outside Idaho Springs, Colorado will re-open to the public. The ski area, which operated as a strictly ski racing venue for the last 3 years, has remained closed to the public since Nora Pykkonen bought the area and transformed it into a racing facility for front range kids.

That is all about to change.

Right now season passes are only $159 and single days will be $49. The resort hopes to offer a family friendly environment with a ski racing background just 45 minutes away from the greater Denver area.

Echo Ski Area Stats

  • 45 minutes from Denver
  • Terrain Based Learning Area for Beginners
  • A mountain for the entire family
  • Race training when the mountain is not open to the public
