Utah’s newest ski area, Cherry Peak Resort, will not be opening for its inaugural season due to lack of snow and construction delays. The resort, located on the Utah-Idaho state border near Richmond, had planned on opening for Thanksgiving 2014 but construction delays pushed back the opening.
According to the Salt Lake Tribune, that although the ski-related construction looks to be completed soon, Cherry Peak will now shift focus to summer preparations and plans on operating a full ski season next winter.
The resorts says that it will honor all lift tickets and season passes sold to skiers and riders for next season.
