Early season snowfalls have blanketed the Andes mountains from Patagonia to the Atacama. The ski resort of El Colorado, located just outside Santiago, is already officially open!
El Niño conditions are forecasted to strengthen over the next few months which could produce a banner season for South America. Look for the remainder of ski resorts to start opening around the middle of the month.
