Thanks to colder temperatures that allowed for snowmaking, Wild Mountain, Minnesota opened for the season today at at 3 p.m.. The ski area had one run open via a rope tow. to Colder temperatures have brought the start of the ski and snowboard season.
This might seem early for a kick off to a ski season but Wild Mountain officials say in 10 of the past 25 years the ski area has opened in October.
