Friday night (10-19-12) was the World Premiere of Warren Miller Entertainments’ Flow State in Salt Lake City. The event is annually held in SLC and it was a much larger version of what we normally see at a snow industry movie premiere. WMEs appeal to the mainstream brought fans from everywhere to watch the new flick. There was the red carpet, a long list of athletes, olympians, and industry people in attendance.

The movie was sort of what was to be expected. There were a ton of great shots and some great music, but it dragged on a bit. Not quite sure why there was an intermission during the premiere – which was a convoluted mess of thousands of people exiting the Theatre at once trying to figure out what to do.

Tahoe was pretty well represented with sections from Jackie Passo, Austin Simonpietri, Billy Mann, Aspen Spora, Doug Stoup, Travis Ganong, Toby Miller and Dave Wise. Squaw Valley ski patroller Lel Tone also got some face time.

I’m not so sure that I would buy this movie with all the other choices out there, but I would definitely watch it on Netflix or Hulu.com when it becomes available. I also would recommend attending a WME World Premiere if you ever get the chance, as it was a step or two above most industry premieres.
