Snowbird WILL Install Roller Coaster on the Mt. | Is Snowbird Turning Into a Circus?

It probably won’t be quite this exciting.

Snowbird ski resort will install a highly controversial roller coaster on its mountain.  The Salt Lake County Planning Commission voted unanimously to approve the “mountain coaster” last Wednesday.  Snowbird already has summer rides including:  “the Alpine Slide, Mountain Flyer, Ropes Course, Climbing Wall, Kids’ Inflatables, Bungy Trampolines and Mechanical Bull will all open June 8th,” said The Ski Channel.

– 3,100 foot long track
– Toboggans will be pulled up by a cable to the top
– Toboggans holding two passengers each will run the coaster
– Loading and unloading of toboggans at the base of the Peruvian Express Chairlift
– Will be entirely on private land
– No blueprints available yet
