The Balance of Powder is a short ski and snowboard film by Sherpa Cinema.  It was filmed at Mica Heliskiing and Island Lake Catskiing in B.C.  The first minute of the film has some nice shots, but if action is what you want, skip to 6 minutes.  The whole film is full of ups and downs, but when it isn’t advertising either lodge: Mark Abma, JP Auclair, Lynsey Dyer, James Heim, Ian Mcintosh and others are just having a great time tearing it up not worrying about skiing the biggest gnarliest line.

“This terrain is filled with billions of pillows, steep lines, and everything seems to be pretty packed in tight together, like you can get really amongst it in a snap.”

Highlights

  • 6:15- Group powder slaying through trees
  • 8:15- Sweet tree skiing
  • 13:00- Start of big steep terrain
  • 15:40 Deep blower POW

My bucket list keeps growing faster than I can check things off!

Has anyone ever skied or ridden with either operations?  Did you have tits deep blower?
