Today began foggy and with terrible visibility. Peak Chair was about to open for the first time in 2 days and so naturally the line was huge, but a false report that Peak Chair would be closed for at least another hour dramatically thinned out the line just in time for it to open after 20 minutes. This was 10:45 ish and the next few hours can be summed up by Peak to Creek laps in the trees finding sheltered powder that was surprisingly good after the day-long wait.
The sky began to clear up in patches just after Peak Chair opened and by 2 it was a beautiful day.
Best Runs:
Million Dollar was the bees knees.
Otherwise, the Peak Chair line was an entertaining place to wait between laps as Air Jordan and Waterfall Cliff huckage was going down in full force.
Foresight Says:
No new snow to come and fairly high freezing levels after a chilly Thursday. Keep finding sheltered snow stashes in the trees or take a walk into the backcountry to find the goods for the rest of the week. Be careful though.
