The last four of five days in Steamboat have all been powder days! Mother Nature blanketed the resort with more than a foot of fresh Champagne Powder snow at mid-mountain and nearly a foot and half at the summit on Saturday. Saturday was super busy and the sun heated up the fresh snow fast.

Deep snow on recently opened Pony Lift

Hands down today, Feb 13, 2012 was the best day of the season! Pony lift was finally opened for the first time all season. Super deep pow everywhere and refills all day! A good foot or two of fresh pow in spots.

“The storm that rolled through Steamboat-Ski Town, USA over the past 72 hours made for fantastic powder turns and wonderful mountain conditions as we head towards President’s holiday weekend,” said Chris Diamond, president & chief operating officer for Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation. “
