This graph is simple.  Last year was HUGE.  An average year is big.  This year…is highly impotent (and you can see that our entire snowpack was created all at once in the end of January)

SIERRA SNOWPACK FACTS as of Feb. 1st, 2011:

Current snowpack as percent of average = 36%

Current snowpack as percent of last season = 25%

Current snowpack as percent of peak = 22%

Average snowpack as percent of peak = 62%

Percent of average needed to reach peak = 206%

Average peak date = March 27th
