Everyone loves a good birthday party and Snowbird is throwing one for itself this Friday the 23rd of December. The Snowbird Tram was opened for business a short 40 years ago and has been going strong (most of the time) ever since! Often known as a cold and uncaring corporation Snowbird is showing some love by offering $40 lift tickets for anyone. Being so close to the holiday season I am sure that a lot of people in town to see family and friends will take advantage. Too bad the terrain and snow are so limited. Maybe the storm forecast for this week will go big and make everyones holidays a little brighter.
The Birthday Bash will take place on the same day Snowbird opened in 1971, Friday, Dec. 23 from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. on the Plaza Deck. Snowbird will be hooking up $40 lift tickets for the day, as well as food and beverage specials. The celebration will include a hula hoop contest and prizes for the best 70s costume contest and for the Snowbird guest with the most Snowbird season passes. DJ Knucklz will be spinning 70s music, and guests may enter a raffle drawing.
I have a feeling that this party is going to go off huge with people from all generations, from the OGs to the New School Jibbers, throwing down and having a good time. So grab your season passes, a 12er of PBR and your old one piece and get your a$$ to the tram deck Friday afternoon to celebrate 40 years of the best days ever!
