This past Saturday, Hunter Mountain ski area in New York honored the men and women lost to the 9/11 tragedies. The 9/11 memorial dedication was constructed with actual steel pulled from the World Trade Center. The memorial was built by David Slutzky, and was put up near Dolan’s Lake, at the base of Hunter Ski Area.

Along with numerous public attendees, honored members of the FDNY and the N.Y. State Police were in attendance. The Village of Hunter, the community built around the ski resort helped support this project. The Village donated a bronze plaque that was designed by Lieut. Ret. Joseph Jove Jr.  The ski resort will also be facilitating and maintaining all the necessary landscaping for the memorial.
