In Vermont, President Obama has declared a federal emergency. Hurricane Irene has raged the green mountain state where flooding has been the major impact to the southern and central portions of the state. In the Rutland area, one of the lodges at the Killington Ski Resort has collapsed, seen in the cover photo of this post.
