Reports from Las Leñas, Argentina have started to trickle in and the word I am getting is far from encouraging. After emailing a few friends in the Las Leñas valley it has been decided to soak up some more summer sun and push my trip into winter back another week or so. All reports I have gathered have stated that the tide is still very low and the skiing off the Marte is far from ideal. So as Miles and Eric “The Kid” Bryant ski powder in Bariloche the skiers of the northern Argentinean Andes sit and wait for the big dump. On the bright side, it is currently snowing in Las Leñas which should make for a good day of skiing on Sunday. And then back to heavy winds up high…..
Very few people hanging around the base of Las Lenas.
Looking up at Edwardo’s off the front side. You can tell it’s low tide from the rocks you can see on the right side.
Entre Ríos some of the gnarliest inbounds terrain anywhere in the world.
Looking east from the top of Ts Marte. Still looking a bit boney…….
