Even though the snow is far from melted people are starting to get the itch for bike season. I got the itch real bad two weeks ago and went out and bought a new bike. (Actually I got the 2010 model pictured above.) Who knows why I decided to buy this expensive piece of metal, but I did and I could not be happier with my choice. The Giant Reign X1 is a super sick bike! I was looking for a Moab bike and I think this fella is just the ticket. I took it down South and beat it up in Moab and on the trails near Bryce for a few days when it was fresh out the shop and it made riding way more fun for me.

2011 Model

This ride can pedal up hills like a champ due to the high tech Maestro suspension package. It also crushes downhills with 6.7 inches of travel front and rear travel and a head 67 degree head angle. What does all that mean? It means that the Reign X1 is the only bike you need unless you are riding mega gnarly DH off lifts or doing killer long (40+ mile) XC rides. Its relatively light weight and bomber components complement each other well and they make you look like a better rider than you are. Remember, as in skiing, it isn’t about the riding… it’s about looking good out there.
