What the hell to do in Jackson this weekend

With Seattle refusing to take its weather back, outdoor activities might be a little damp this weekend. However, if you don’t mind a little moisture, there’s still plenty of coverage to shred…or you can just wait for the tram to open back up next Saturday.

If you’re not into schussing in the rain, don’t fret, there’s plenty of other options out there.

FRIDAY 7PM: SCREEN DOOR PORCH & KING ST. RAMBLERS AT FACTORY STUDIOS $10

Check out the music of Screen Door Porch & King St. Ramblers at Factory Studios. Toss back some beers and take in their alt-country, folk-blues style or just cruise around and check out all the cool artists  in Factory Studios.

SATURDAY 10-4: FITZGERALD”S BIKE SWAP AT FITZGERALD’S

Looking for a new mountain or road bike and don’t want to fork over the cash for a brand new set up? Do you just need a beater to cruise around town? Or maybe you need an old road bike to turn into a hipster fixed gear (just kidding, we all know you’re not doing that, are you?) Check out Fitzgerald’s bike swap on Saturday to see what kind of deal you can score.

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY 9PM: MURPHY’S LAW AT THE COWBOY BAR

Country Rock band Murphy’s Law plays the world famous Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. Drink some PBRs, maybe pick a fight with a cowboy? Who knows- either way you’ll probably end up with a good story.

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY 1PM: ELK FEST

One of the foremost, non-lethal elk-related events in the world, Elk Fest celebrates and supports those delicious animals that call Jackson home for the winter. Complete with an antler auction and and elk chili cook off, if you’re an elk enthusiast, this is the place for you.
