The snow keeps on falling in Tahoe, so we mind as well take advantage of it and ski some powder. Arriving at the trail head around 8:00 this morning I was afraid we might have been a little late. The sun was blazing already and what little fresh snow there was at the bottom was melting rapidly.
Clouds soon rolled in and kept things nice and cool, and as we gained elevation the snow continued to get deeper and drier. When we dropped in a little after 10, the sun was starting to break through the clouds and the snow was surprisingly good most of the way down to the road. High north facing aspects should be holding good snow for at least another day, if not longer.
