Squaw Valley USA just announced via Facebook that they will open the Red Bull half pipe to the public beginning April 29th.
The 22 foot walled half pipe was designed by Frank Wells. Frank is the guy who designs the X-Games and Dew Tour half pipes and is sort of The Man when it comes to these 22 foot walled Super Pipes.
A big Thanks to Squaw for this one. I know we have all been drooling on this thing and now we will get our chance to play with a big-boy-toy.
Red Bull built this pipe for their sponsored athletes and they’ve been training on it for the past week and will continue to do so for another week. There are also some seriously big jumps right next to this pipe. These big jumps are where Bobby Brown has been throwing Triple Corks like the ones in the video below.
