Snowbird got pounded with snow again last week as anyone who was there knows. We are charging hard past the 600″ mark and I think 700″ should be reached easily in the next couple weeks. These shots come to us again from the good folks at Powdershots. I know that all you local hard cores are never going to buy any shots from the guys and gals in the yellow jackets that are shouting out numbers at you while you are killing it, but the tourists eat this stuff up. Imagine you at like 40 and from New Jersey and have never seen snow like we get in Utah. Now imagine that one of these photogs gets a shot of you skiing the deepest snow you have ever seen. You are going to be stoked to pay top dollar for that shot so you can show all your overweight buddies back home how rad you got on vacation. It is important to remember that this guy pays the bills at Snowbird and makes it possible for the rest of us to come play everyday. So I say “Thank You!” to Powdershots for all you do for the Joeys and Bruces of the world.
I can’t tell if this is Joey or a local Broey due to all the snow obscuring his face. Either way, nice work to the photog and the skier for this shot.
Not every Broey and very few Joeys have the powder thing dialed. This fella seems to be a little too far in the front seat. I commend his effort. Way to charge it even though you have no idea what you are doing!
Another skier getting after it in the deep pow. I have nothing clever for this one.
The tele fellas are lovin’ all this late season pow too. They do get more face shots than the rest of us due to their broken bindings. I guess that is a benefit of this sport that makes no sense to me.
