Swedish freerider Reine Barkered put it all on the line Saturday during his run at the Big Mountain Fiberbrunn only to come in second.  With less than ideal conditions, Barkered took some enormous risks during his descent; big air above exposure, and skipping through sections of pepper at incredible speed where a fall would have surely resulted in serious injury.   I, for one think he was the unfortunate recipient of a first rate home job .

Not to take anything away from Austrian Stefan Hausl, he skied a very impressive run on his home turf, but nowhere near as dynamic or challenging as the Swede’s.  Either way, both these men put themselves in harms way looking for glory, and I love watching it. I can’t wait to see what these two and the rest of the worlds best freeriders have in store for us on the famed Bec De Roses, in Verbier, next weekend at the Tour Championships.

Let us know in the comments who you think had the better run.
