If you are wondering if you should go skiing today or not the answer is a strong YES! Yesterday was epic and if you know how your way around there is still plenty of soft pow out there in the shadows. The official report claimed only 5″ at Alta for yesterday, but this was super aspect/area dependent. We were rocking out all over the Alta/Snowbird border and the fresh stuff was 12″ in lots of places.

It was surprisingly busy for a Friday non-deep day, but the lift lines thinned out at Alta by about noon and never really rebuilt. Thank god for the Supreme chair. I heard it got super busy out there. It is like Alta’s version of Mineral Basin if you know what I mean. There was quite a canyon jam in the afternoon, so I would expect the same again today. Leave a little early if you don’t want to spend some serious windshield time on the way down canyon.

I was luck enough to share this great day with two old friends. George McCloskey, Aaron Feinberg, and I had a hell of a day crushing powder and then hiking back to Alta. I would strongly recommend getting out and getting after it today!
