Looking for a great place to have a beer and watch the sun set after a day of riding your Monoski at Alta. Well look no further, Goldminer’s Daughter is the only bar in the canyon where you can watch the sun go down. The location of  and view from the bar on the second floor of the GMD really make it a stand out choice for Apre fun.
If you are a hardcore partier that needs the booze to have a good time then the GMD might not work for you. They only serve 3.2 beer. No wine, no liquor and no real beer. If you need these things you will have to move a little up, or a little down canyon to another lodge.
As far as after skiing food you can’t go wrong at the GMD. They have arguably the best pizza in Utah. (Don’t hate me Pizza Dave, Este is rad too.) The quesadilla is another good choice, if you can handle mondo amounts of cheese. They even make a pretty good Nacho plate if you are looking to share with the homies.
