Â This weekend is MLK weekend and all the college kids will be in town partying – so you’d think there’d be SOMETHING going on!? Â Event-wise Tahoe really blew it this week. Â I know what you’re thinking…”a jam band, a slide show and an outdoor/daytime bar!?! Â WTF!?!” Â Unofficial is gonna have to start putting together some fun adult night time music partying events…

Saturday, Jan 15 – Adventure Slide Show Series with Dan Mingori. Â Free. Â 8pm. Â Plaza Bar, Squaw Valley. Â Dan is a Bishop local High Sierra ski touring fanatic, author of the latest backcountry Eastern Sierra Ski touring Guidebook, and unreal photographer. His show “Ticklists” will ring true with a lot of you, and get you all fired up to revisit your own little black book.
Saturday, Jan 15 – Ice Bar Party Kick Off at Alpine Meadows. Â If you’re Alpine this weekend go check out the Ice Bar Party. Â This a kinda legendary spot on the backside of Alpine in the sun. Â It should be hot enough Saturday from some mild debauchery over there.
