This morning Telluride was reporting 5″ new snow overnight. Well, that was some of the best 5 inches I have ever skied! There was a delayed opening for the hike-tos off 12 and baldy this morning and even talk of Palmyra and Gold Hill 9 opening. This didn’t happen but today still turned out to be an AWESOME day!

It was really cold out there early with single digit temps and small crowds. Always a plus! We headed out to Chair 14 and were VERY pleased with what was waiting. Lots of cold-smoke powder and untouched lines! Everyone was definitely pretty fired-up! After our first run through Millions and Little Rose, they opened Revy Bowl and we headed up to Gold Hill 1. The snow in Revy Bowl was really nice, being a little slabby, but very consistent. It was definitely pretty deep back there. The top of Gold Hill was wind affected and a bit rocky but skied awesome once we got into it. The woods were definitely sweet today as well, with deep drifts and fresh lines!

Thank you mother nature, it was an awesome morning in Telluride! Let’s keep our fingers crossed for the end of the week.
